Regular Meetings
Our weekly meetings are held on Sunday afternoons at 4pm at Living Waters Lutheran Church, 1808 Miller Rd, Crystal Lake.
We meet on Sundays to accommodate sports schedules, as the majority of our troop members play sports and have practices on weeknights. We encourage our troop members to stay active in other activities and are willing to work with Scouts so they don't have to choose between the two.
Our meetings are planned by our PLC and usually incorporate some sort of rank work, outdoor activity, planning for upcoming outings, or any variety of other activities. We are fortunate to have both indoor meeting space and outdoor meeting space including a fire pit and large open area at the church!
Camping/Outdoor Activities
We try to plan some sort of outing every month, whether it's a camping trip, a long hike, a Council activity, or something else that our PLC chooses. Past outings have included kayaking at Chain O'Lakes State Park, frisbee golf, bowling, backpacking on the Prairie Trail, and camping at Camp Lowden, Canyon Camp, Camp Big Thunder, Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Tah, Nunda Township, The Hollows, and more!
Summer Camp
Our troop has gone to Canyon Camp in 2021 and Camp Long Lake in 2022 and 2023. We are currently researching camps and planning where to go for 2024!
